World Cultural Heritage—Huang Ya Guan Great Wall
Huangyaguan Great Wall is the first one listed as world cultural heritage which is part of the Chinese ancient Great Wall. It is lying on the mountains of 30 kilometers to Tianjin Ji County north which was built in seventh year of Beiqi Tianbao (AD 557), 42 km long. It was an important pass of the Great Wall in Ji county of Ming dynasty and also an only city inside the territory. There are 66 crunchers, 52 watchtowers and 14 beacon towers where is a strategic military place. The rocks on the cliff of east of GuanCheng is mostly yellow-brown. When the sunset is reflected, it is glittering and known as the "Nightfall Picture of Huangya" and GuanCheng hence got its name. The natural landscape is magnificent, ancient, dangerous and beautiful; and the humanistic landscape is new, strange, quiet, elegant and rich in cultural content. It is the essence of the Great Wall of China which is regarded as "the epitome of the Great Wall" by the experts. As a national 4-A grade scenic spot of first batch, in 1990, Huangyaguan was selected as the "Guinness ten scenes of Tianjin".

The Huangya Guan
Called as Ba Gua city also because of a Ba Gua street inside the city, it is built based on the mountain terrain as irregular shape of tool holder. It is divided into Weng city, outer city and inner city from east to west. Qu city gate and building are built at east, west and south of the wall. No gate is set at north wall due to defense reason. But a Beiji pavilion is usually known as Guan Emperor temple is built on the platform. While walking among them, you can have a sense of bewildering and mysterious. A white marble banner is put on south gate with the name Huang Ya Guan written in Chinese regular script.
The Water Guan
The Water Guan is of a five-hole bridge building which is the only water pass in the Great Wall. It was built in year of Yong Le of Ming Dynasty (1403~1424) with 75.5 meters long and 12.15 high. In 1996, it was damaged again, only the cobble on north city wall is preserved well.

Panshan Mountain: as a saying goes "Among the attractive mountains in north of Ji county, Panshan Mountain is the most beautiful one". Since ancient times, Panshan Mountain has attracted numerous scholars to travel. As "the top mountain of east Beijing," Panshan mountain is a national 5 A grade scenic spot which was once listed as one of the 15 great sights of China in history. Qianlong had travelled around the mountain for 32 times and praised:"if I had known Panshan mountain earlier, there would be not necessary to go to Jiangnan". Panshan mountain is not only a beautiful landscape of magnificent mountain but also a truly famous cultural mountain. Main attractions include:
Five peaks and eight rocks: Panshan Mountain is famous for its five peaks and eight rocks. Gua Yue peak, the main one, is 864.4 meters high. It is facing Zigai peak in the front, leaning on Zilai peak on the back, connecting Jiuhua peak to the east and Wujian peak to the west. The five peaks are standing closely to each other with lots of special stones.
Three unique features: pine trees on up side, rock on middle side and water on down side.
Rain in nightfall: it is one of the ten views of Tianjin. In nightfall, the fog and smoke is surrounding the mountain, it creates a special rainy view which is called as nightfall rain of Panshan Mountain.
Buddhist holly land: there were 72 temples and many exquisite pagodas built here in the history. An imperial garden - "static send hill", is famous for its "east Wutai Mountain” in Buddhist circle. She is the communion of natural landscape, historical site and the tourism resort for Buddhist culture and royal culture
North Shaolin temple: as recorded in Ji county diary, its original name was Fa Xing temple. It is located on hill of middle part of Panshan Mountain. Built in Wei and Jin Dynasty, it is of now 1500 years of history which is the earliest Buddhist temple in Tianjin.
Wan Fo temple: it is formerly called as Shi Fo Hall, located on south hill of Panshan Mountain and west gate of Stone park which consists of screen wall, hall of heaven kings, iron bell and mahavira hall. Three holy Buddha stone sculptures are in the Wan Fo hall and 10960 other Buddha figures as well.

Middle-Upper Proterozoic Geological Park: the famous Middle-upper Proterozoic geological section has completed sequence and simple structure which is confirmed by the UN association of geological science as standard stratigraphic section and was approved to be the first national nature reserve in our country in 1984.Geological park covers a total area of 342 square kilometers with Jiushanding to the north, Fujun Mountain to the south, Baxian Mountain to the east and Panshan Mountain to the west. It enjoys extremely high scientific research value, environmental value and tourism value. Now there are seven scenic areas and totally 87 scenic spots including middle-upper proterozoic geological nature reserve zone, Baxian mountain quartzite peak scenic area, Jiushanding mountain forest of quartz sandstone, Huangya Guan landscape scenic area, Panshan mountain granite landscape scenic area, the Kowloon hills carbonate scenic area and Fu Jun Mountain structure relic scenic area.

Temple of Solitary Joy
Temple of Solitary Joy is also called as Buddha temple, located in Ji county which is one of the three existing temples of Liao Dynasty in China and also one of the famous old buildings. It is built in the 10th year of Zhen Guan of Tang Dynasty and re-built in 984 which is the only oldest large wooden structure building in China. There is a 16 meter-high sculpture of the Goddess of Mercy which is one of the largest existing clay sculptures in China.
